IRVINE, Calif.
(February 2005) – Meguiar’s presented a check to Team GMCI Racing for
$7500 as the first-place winner and to Team ECI for $2500 as the runner-up in
its NXT Generation™ Team Challenge. Members of both teams were on hand to
receive their awards at Meguiar’s Car Crazy stage at the 2004 SEMA Show. Meguiar’s challenge pitted 25 teams from the
east coast to the west coast against each other in competitions that
collectively earned them 39 Best of Show titles, 278 First Place trophies, and 35 Best
Team awards. Four teams became involved in charity events that assisted
families of troops in Iraq
and benefited local and national cancer fundraisers. The results epitomized what can be
accomplished through the focused effort of teamwork.
Team
GMCI Racing, primarily comprised of members from Wisconsin
and Illinois, started out in 1999 as a father
and son project by Larry and Bob Mull of Carol
Stream, IL. Their Chevy Cavalier “The Evil Z24”, is now recognized

ECI (East Coast Imports), founded in 1998 in Jacksonville, Florida,
