IRVINE,
Calif., (June 2005) – Barry Meguiar, President/CEO
of Meguiar’s Inc., has been selected
by the Cruisin’ Hall of Fame as the recipient of
its 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award. Established in 1995, the Cruisin’ Hall of
Fame honors those who have made significant contributions to the
uniquely-American automotive cultural phenomenon of cruising. The Lifetime Achievement Award, created to recognize
the sacrifices made in order to fulfill one’s dreams, from entertainment to
community involvement, will be presented on Saturday, September 17. Hosted by “Grand Cruiser” Chip Foose, the Induction Brunch and Ceremony will be one of the
highlights of the four-day, 16th Annual Route 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino. Over 500,000 automotive enthusiasts will converge
on this popular Southern California city where
people got their “kicks” on Route 66.
Meguiar will be honored for his lifelong
influence on the car hobby and for his continued efforts to grow the hobby. He believes that he has been graced with the
opportunity to combine his personal passion for cars with his professional
passion for providing quality products and support to those who share that same
passion. And, more importantly, he
believes in giving back. His sponsorship
of thousands of car shows worldwide overwhelmingly supports that belief, as do
the annual Meguiar’s Award gala celebrations held in the U.S. and other

Barry Meguiar and his wife, Karen, have spent their
